This notice explains what personal information Payd Media collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It applies wherever you are visiting from.

Who we are

Payd Media is a performance marketing agency for law firms and legal services. We are responsible for the personal information collected on this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@paydmedia.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, the name of your firm or business, your email address, phone number, what your business does, your approximate advertising budget, what you would like more of, and anything you write in the message box. We also record that you agreed to be contacted, the wording you agreed to, and when.

Information collected automatically

• How you reached us: the advert or link you clicked, including campaign details and advertising click IDs, the page you landed on and the website that referred you.
• Technical details sent with your enquiry, such as your IP address, browser and device type.
• Your cookie choices, and, only if you allow them, analytics and advertising cookies. See our cookie policy.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange a call and discuss working together.
• To prepare a proposal and, if we work together, to deliver our services and manage the relationship.
• To understand which of our own adverts and pages bring enquiries, so we spend our marketing budget well.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to your enquiry or our relationship with you.

Our legal basis

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our business, and your consent for contact and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything we did before.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run this website and our business, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions. These include:

• Our website and database hosting provider, which stores data in the European Union.
• Our email delivery provider, which sends our notifications.
• Advertising platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Microsoft and X, only if you allow advertising cookies. This can include sending them a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address or phone number so they can tell us which adverts led to an enquiry. They cannot read the original from it.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of selling or reorganising our business.

International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the country you are in. Where this happens we rely on recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to work together, we delete it within 24 months. If we do work together, we keep records for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for as long as we need to for legal, tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• have it corrected or deleted
• object to or restrict how we use it
• receive it in a portable format
• withdraw consent, including for cookies
• opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising (we do not sell it, and you can refuse advertising cookies at any time)

To use any of these rights, email hello@paydmedia.com. We will respond within one month, and we will not treat you differently for using them. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Security

Our website runs over an encrypted connection, access to enquiry data is restricted to people who need it, and passwords are stored in a form that cannot be read back. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This website is for businesses. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
